This workshop is brought to you by Project Tomorrow Montana, a suicide prevention initiative of United Way of Missoula County, in partnership with Missoula Public Health.
LivingWorks ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training) is a two-day in-person workshop featuring powerful audiovisuals, discussions, and simulations.
At a LivingWorks ASIST workshop, you’ll learn how to recognize when someone may be thinking about suicide, and how to provide a skilled intervention and develop a safety plan with the person to connect them to further support. You will also consider how personal and community attitudes about suicide affect someone’s openness to seek help and your ability to provide it.
This workshop will increase your willingness, confidence, and capacity to provide suicide first aid.
CEUs: LivingWorks ASIST learners in the US can apply for CEUs with certain professional associations via a third-party company called CEUnits.
There is more information on CEUs on the Living Works website:
The cost for Continuing Education is $78 for 12 hours, but you will not be charged until you pass the exam and download your certificate. Participants can take the exam as many times as they want. All continuing education credits are handled through CEUnits.
